Electric Winch is a 12V recovery winch with a single-line rated pull of 9,500 lbs (4,309 kg), supplied with synthetic Dyneema rope.
It is driven by a 3.6 kW (4.8 hp) series-wound DC motor through a planetary gearbox, giving fast line speed with free-spooling and powered-in and powered-out operation. An automatic load-holding brake holds the load on the drum, switching is handled by a sealed weatherproof contactor unit, and the rope runs on a hardened drum. This is the synthetic-rope version; the alternative is supplied with galvanised steel cable.
Some installations also require an extended winch wiring kit with battery cut-off switch (DB1014).
