Air Filter Element - replaceable air cleaner element for the 4.4L V8 M62 petrol engine induction system.

The element is carried in the air cleaner housing between the intake duct and the airflow meter, trapping airborne dust and abrasive particles before air enters the intake tract. A contaminated or restricted element reduces airflow into the engine and can distort the metered airflow signal used to calculate fuelling. Replacement is a routine service item at the scheduled maintenance interval.
