Air Suspension Compressor - the pump unit at the heart of the Electronic Air Suspension (EAS) circuit.

It draws in ambient air through the intake filter and delivers pressurised air, by way of the valve block and the air suspension reservoir, to the four air springs. The compressor runs whenever the system needs to correct ride height, raise or lower the vehicle, or restore circuit pressure after a period of standing. It is mounted in the spare wheel well and is supplied as a complete assembly.

A compressor that runs continuously or fails early is usually the symptom of a leak elsewhere in the circuit - pressure-test the air springs and lines before fitting a replacement, and renew the compressor relay at the same time.
