Ride Height Sensor for the air suspension and adaptive damping control system.

The sensor body mounts to the vehicle structure and is coupled by a drop link to a moving suspension member, so its rotary output tracks the travel of that corner in real time. The suspension control module reads the sensor to hold the requested ride height, to level the vehicle as load changes, and to feed corner-by-corner wheel movement into the adaptive damper strategy.

A failed or out-of-range sensor commonly causes a suspension fault warning, loss of height adjustment, or the vehicle settling and remaining at one height. The system requires a calibration routine after a sensor or drop link is replaced.
