Swivel Kit - complete swivel housing overhaul kit for one side of the front axle.

The swivel housing ball carries the stub axle and encloses the constant velocity joint, and its outer surface forms the running face for the swivel oil seal. Once that face is scored or corroded the seal will not hold, so the ball is renewed together with the seal, the swivel pin bearings and the shims that set swivel pin preload. This is the 12 mm swivel seal specification.

This kit includes the swivel housing ball, swivel pin bearing, upper swivel pin, oil seals, gasket, retaining plate, shims, joint washers and a sachet of swivel housing grease. Each kit covers one side of the axle.

What does this Swivel Kit include?

This kit fits the Discovery 1 up to VIN JA32850, and the Range Rover Classic from 1985 up to VIN JA624516. Later production on both models switched to a different swivel seal specification, so check your VIN before ordering.
