Swivel Kit - repair kit for one front swivel housing assembly. The swivel housing is the steering pivot at the outer end of the front axle case: it carries the stub axle and hub, and the axle shaft passes through it to the drive flange.

This kit renews the pivot and sealing components in the configuration for vehicles without ABS. The swivel housing ball is not supplied, so the existing ball must still be serviceable.

This kit contains the upper swivel pin, swivel pin bearing, swivel housing oil seal, retaining plate and shims, gasket, joint washers and a sachet of swivel housing grease. One kit covers one side of the vehicle.

The GA3165P renews the pivot and sealing components of one front swivel housing on non-ABS Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic vehicles, without replacing the ball. How many GA3165P kits does a full swivel service need?
One kit covers one swivel housing, so servicing both sides of the front axle needs two GA3165P kits.
Does the GA3165P fit ABS-equipped vehicles?
No. It's built for non-ABS Discovery 1 up to VIN JA32851 and Range Rover Classic up to VIN JA624517. ABS-equipped vehicles need the GA3166P repair kit instead.
Should I choose the GA3165P or the GA3165 kit?
Choose the GA3165P if your existing swivel ball's sealing face is still smooth and undamaged, since it omits the ball. If the ball is pitted or corroded, the GA3165 includes a new one.
