Brake Caliper Repair Kit for the rear brake caliper assembly - a piston seal kit for renewing the caliper's hydraulic sealing at the piston bore.

The piston seal retains hydraulic pressure behind the caliper piston and controls piston roll-back when the pedal is released. A perished seal shows itself as fluid weeping at the caliper, a soft or slowly sinking pedal, and uneven pad wear; a corroded bore causes the piston to stick and the pad to drag.

Fitting a seal kit is the normal repair where the caliper body and bore are still serviceable, and avoids replacing the complete caliper. Renew the seals on both calipers of the axle at the same time and bleed the circuit thoroughly on reassembly.
