Front Brake Hose - flexible hydraulic hose in the front brake circuit, left-hand side.

It carries brake fluid from the rigid pipe on the body to the front brake caliper, flexing to accommodate steering movement and suspension travel while the fixed pipework stays put. The hose construction resists expansion under pressure so that pedal travel and braking response remain consistent.

Cracking, perishing or bulging of the outer cover, weeping at the end fittings, or a pedal that feels soft indicate the hose should be renewed. The brake circuit must be bled after fitting.
