Brand Jaguar
Brake Hose - rear flexible hydraulic hose, part of the rear brake hydraulic circuit.

The hose links the rigid brake pipe on the body structure to the rear brake caliper, allowing the suspension to move through its full travel while carrying braking pressure to the caliper.

Reinforced rubber hose degrades with age and heat cycling, so a spongy pedal or damp crimped fitting is a replacement signal. Hoses are usually renewed in axle pairs so both sides behave alike. Bleed the brake circuit after fitting.

Frequently asked questions

What is the T4K1009 rear brake hose for?
This is the rear flexible brake hose for the Jaguar I-PACE (X590) from 2018. It links the rigid brake pipe on the body to the rear caliper, carrying hydraulic pressure while allowing the suspension to move through its full travel.
Do I need one or two rear brake hoses?
This is a single rear flexible hose. The rear axle usually has one hose per side, so if you're renewing both corners on the I-PACE you'll need two. Hoses are often replaced in pairs when one has perished.
When should a brake hose be replaced?
Replace a rear brake hose on the I-PACE if it shows cracking, bulging, chafing or a fluid weep. Reinforced rubber degrades with age and heat, and a failed hose can cause a sudden loss of braking, so it's a safety-critical renewal.
Does the brake system need bleeding after fitting?
Yes, opening a brake hose lets air into the circuit, so the rear brakes must be bled after fitting on the I-PACE. It's a job for someone comfortable with brake hydraulics, as correct bleeding is essential to safe braking.
