Brake Pad - friction pad for the rear disc brake assembly.

The pad seats in the rear caliper and is pressed against the brake disc when hydraulic pressure acts on the caliper piston, converting the vehicle's momentum into heat and slowing the rear axle.

Friction material is the wear component; pads are renewed on both sides of the axle together so braking stays balanced. Check the disc friction faces and the caliper slide pins at the same time.
