Brake Pad Set - friction pads for the rear axle, part of the rear disc brake assembly.
The pads sit in the rear caliper either side of the disc and are clamped against the friction faces by the caliper pistons to generate braking torque. This is the Performance rear brake specification, matched to the larger rear disc and caliper package rather than the standard rear brake set-up.
Supplied as a rear axle set complete with the caliper pad clips, so the pad retaining hardware is renewed alongside the friction material. Pads are always renewed as a complete axle set so that braking stays balanced side to side; inspect the disc friction surfaces and the pad wear sensor circuit at the same time.
