Rear Brake Pad Set - friction pads for the rear axle of the service braking system.

The pads are clamped by the caliper against both faces of the rear disc, providing the balance of braking torque and stabilising the vehicle under deceleration. Rear pads run cooler and generally wear more slowly than front pads, but must still be renewed as a complete axle set to keep braking balanced side to side.

Check disc thickness, scoring and lipping before fitting, and inspect the caliper guide pins and slides for free movement - a seized slide causes uneven pad wear across the axle.
