The FUG500010LR is the upper lock actuator for the tailgate and luggage compartment lock on Discovery 3 and Discovery 4. It drives the latch mechanism to lock and unlock the tailgate electrically rather than by hand.
Which Discovery models does this actuator fit?
Discovery 3 (2005-2009) up to VIN 9A999999, and Discovery 4 (2010-2016) from VIN AA000001. The two generations use different actuator specifications either side of that VIN break, so check your VIN before ordering.
Can this actuator be fitted at home, or does it need a specialist?
