Headlamp Assembly with Xenon (HID) gas discharge lighting, right-hand side of the vehicle, forming part of the front lighting system.

The unit houses the gas discharge burner and its reflector optics for the dipped beam alongside the sidelight and direction indicator functions. Xenon operation depends on an igniter and ballast to strike and regulate the arc, and the assembly carries the levelling motor used by the automatic headlamp levelling system that gas discharge lighting requires.

Beam pattern is cut for right-hand drive traffic. Headlamp aim must be set after fitting.
