The dipped beam is produced by a high-intensity discharge (xenon) projector. Discharge lighting requires automatic beam-height correction, actuated by a levelling motor at the headlamp and driven from the vehicle's levelling sensors and lighting control module; the ballast and igniter that strike and regulate the arc are matched to the lamp.

The direction indicator and position lamp are carried in the same housing.

Optics are configured for right-hand-drive vehicles, with the dipped beam biased towards the left-hand side of the road.
