Frequently asked questions

What is the NRC8113 road spring and where does it fit?

The NRC8113 is a rear road coil spring for the Range Rover Classic, fitting the rear axle in the coil-sprung suspension. It sits between the axle and chassis, carrying the vehicle's rear load and setting ride height. The Purple/Pink band identifies its spring rate.

What does the Purple/Pink colour code mean on this spring?

The Purple/Pink colour band identifies this spring's rate specification on the Range Rover Classic. Land Rover used colour codes to distinguish springs of different loads and ride heights, so matching the band keeps the correct ride height and load rating for your vehicle's original build.

How many of these springs are needed for a rear suspension refresh?

Two rear road springs are typically needed to replace both sides of the Range Rover Classic rear axle. Springs are usually replaced in pairs to keep ride height even side to side. This item is sold individually, so order two for a full rear refresh.

What are the signs a Range Rover Classic rear spring needs replacing?

Signs include a sagging or uneven rear ride height, the vehicle sitting lower on one side, or reduced load-carrying ability. Coil springs typically weaken or crack with age and corrosion on the Range Rover Classic. Replacing in pairs keeps the rear ride height even.
