Rear Upper Spring Seat - non-handed, part of the rear coil spring suspension mounting.
The seat is the chassis-side mounting that locates the top of the rear coil spring and reacts its load into the chassis. The upper coil registers in the seat, which sets the spring's working height and keeps it captive through axle articulation and rebound.
Corrosion or distortion of the seat is a common cause of a displaced, rattling or noisy rear spring. Non-handed - fits either side.
