O-Ring seals the variable valve timing (VVT) solenoid within the timing gear and sprocket assembly.

It maintains an oil-tight joint between the VVT solenoid and its mounting bore, containing the oil pressure that operates the cam timing control. Fitted to petrol engines - 5.0L V8 (AJ133) and 3.0L supercharged V6 (GDI). Not used on diesel engines.
