Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor - measures gas pressure in the exhaust gas recirculation circuit, mounted on the right-hand side of the engine.

The engine control module uses the pressure signal to calculate recirculated mass flow and to trim the EGR valve against the commanded rate, which in turn governs peak combustion temperature and NOx formation. A drifting or failed signal typically presents as an EGR flow fault, visible smoke on load, and loss of emissions compliance.

Applies to the 3.0L AJ20D6 Ingenium in-line six diesel.
