Coolant Hose - Thermostat Housing, part of the engine cooling circuit on the 3.0L AJ20P6 Ingenium six-cylinder petrol engine, including PHEV applications.

The hose runs to the thermostat housing and carries coolant at full system pressure and at the highest temperatures in the circuit. It is moulded to a fixed shape so that its bends and connector positions follow the housing and the surrounding underbonnet routing, and it cannot be substituted with a cut length of straight hose.

Rubber hardens and moulded bends crack with age and heat cycling. A failing hose shows as gradual coolant loss, staining or crusted residue at the connections, and a loss of system pressure that can present as slow warm-up or an overheating fault. Inspect the mating spigots and sealing faces before fitting the replacement.
