Should I renew this O-ring when opening the A/C system?
Renew this O-ring whenever the refrigerant joint it seals is separated. A/C seals take a set and can leak refrigerant once disturbed, so fitting a fresh one when reconnecting the joint is standard. The system also needs proper evacuation and recharging afterwards.
Where does this O-ring fit?
This O-ring fits at a condenser or compressor connection in the A/C system on the Freelander 2, Evoque L538 and Discovery Sport. It seals the high-pressure refrigerant joint, so it must be in good condition to prevent gradual gas loss.
