Brake Pad Wear Sensor for the front axle, part of the brake pad wear warning circuit.

The sensor is located in the brake pad and carries a wire loop that the brake disc severs once the friction material has worn down to its limit. Breaking the loop signals the instrument cluster to display the pad wear warning. Once triggered the sensor cannot be reused and is renewed together with the pads.
