Viscous Coupling Retaining Tool - a workshop service tool for the viscous fan drive in the engine cooling system.

The tool locates on the water pump pulley and holds it stationary so that the viscous coupling can be released from, or tightened onto, the pump spindle without the drive rotating. It is used together with the viscous coupling spanner LRT-12-094, which applies the turning force to the coupling nut itself.

Applicable to V8 petrol, 2.5 Td, 300 TDi and Td5 engine installations fitted with a viscous fan drive.
