Frequently asked questions

What is this part and what does it do?

This is the high-mounted rear brake lamp, fitted at the top of the rear window or tailgate. It lights up when you brake, giving following traffic an extra, higher brake signal.

Which models does this lamp fit?

This lamp fits the Land Rover Discovery 3 and Discovery 4. Check your vehicle generation before ordering, as the mounting and lens shape differ between these two models.

Why would this lamp need replacing?

High-mounted brake lamp housings can crack or let moisture in over time, especially where they're bonded to a plastic tailgate spoiler. Replace it if the lens fogs up, the seal has failed, or the bulb or LEDs no longer light reliably.
