Tow Bar Electrics Kit - 12N & 12S 7-Pin is the twin 7-pin trailer socket installation for the towing electrical circuit.

The 12N socket carries the trailer road-lighting functions - side, tail, stop, indicator and fog. The 12S socket carries the supplementary supplies used by a caravan, typically interior lighting, refrigerator feed and battery charging. The kit harness connects to the existing rear body wiring so the trailer lamps are driven from the vehicle's own lighting circuits.

The 12N/12S twin-socket arrangement is the Great Britain and Ireland wiring convention, superseded on later vehicles by the single 13-pin socket.
