Cylinder Head Bore Plug - the front bore (core) plug fitted to the cylinder head of the 3.2L DOHC petrol inline-six.

The plug closes a bore left in the head casting during manufacture, sealing the internal gallery it opens into against the outside of the engine. It is a press-fit component, renewed whenever it is disturbed or when corrosion of the plug or its bore causes a leak.

The bore must be clean and dry for a new plug to seat correctly.
