Thermostat Housing Gasket seals the joint between the thermostat housing (water outlet) and the cylinder head within the cooling system.

It maintains a coolant-tight seal at the thermostat outlet on the 2.7 and 3.0 litre V6 diesel engines. Renew whenever the thermostat or its housing is disturbed.

When should the thermostat housing gasket be replaced?
Replace the LR018829 gasket whenever the thermostat or housing is removed, or if coolant is weeping from the housing joint on a V6 diesel. A hardened or split gasket causes coolant loss and overheating, so fit a new one on reassembly.
