Exhaust manifold gasket sealing the flange joint between the exhaust manifold and the cylinder head face on the 2.0L I4 AJ200 DOHC turbo diesel engine.

The gasket maintains a gas-tight seal at the manifold-to-head joint under high exhaust gas temperature and pressure, preventing exhaust leakage into the engine bay and preserving pressure delivered to the turbocharger inlet. It also forms a thermal barrier between the manifold casting and the cylinder head.

Renew whenever the exhaust manifold is removed. Once the flange joint has been disturbed the gasket should not be reused.
