Multi-ribbed (poly-V) belt driven from the crankshaft pulley to turn the engine-mounted ancillaries. Fitted to 2.0L 16V turbocharged petrol engines (GTDi, turbocharged Gen 2 and TiVCT 240PS variants).

Belt ribs harden and crack with age and heat; inspect for glazing, rib cracking and missing rib material at each service interval, and renew the tensioner alongside the belt where wear is evident.
