Auxiliary Drive Belt - the primary accessory drive belt for the 4.2L supercharged and 4.4L EFI AJ V8 petrol engines.
Driven from the crankshaft pulley, the belt transmits power to the engine-mounted ancillaries by way of the belt tensioner and the idler pulleys of the front accessory drive. On supercharged engines it is separate from the supercharger drive belt.
Polyvee (multi-rib) construction. Cracking between the ribs, glazing of the rib flanks or missing rib material are the usual indications for renewal; inspect the tensioner and idler pulley bearings at the same time.
