Coolant Temperature Sensor for the engine management system on the 2.0L L-Series four-cylinder diesel engine.
Threaded into the coolant circuit, the sensor uses a temperature-dependent resistance element to report engine coolant temperature to the engine control unit. That signal is used to adjust fuelling during warm-up and to drive the cooling fan and temperature gauge.
