Brake Disc - Vented - Front, supplied as an axle pair. Part of the foundation braking system on the front axle.

The disc provides the friction surface that the front brake pads clamp against, converting the vehicle's momentum into heat under braking. It bolts to the front hub and rotates with the road wheel, running inside the front brake caliper. The front axle carries the larger share of braking effort, so front discs run hotter and wear faster than those on the rear.

Vented construction: cooling vanes run between the two friction faces, drawing air through the disc so heat is shed more quickly during repeated or sustained braking.

Discs are replaced in axle pairs so braking remains balanced side to side. Fit new brake pads at the same time and bed the new surfaces in before hard use.
