Underbody and chassis fixing used to secure engine splash shields, heat shields and underbody protection panels to the chassis frame, and to retain chassis-mounted brackets such as tow hook and hitch receiver brackets.

Because it sits in an exposed underbody position, this fastener is commonly replaced when a shield or bracket is removed and the thread is damaged or the head corroded.
