Crankshaft Pulley - timing drive pulley for the 1.8L K-Series 16-valve petrol engine.

Fits to the nose of the crankshaft and carries the toothed timing belt, transmitting crankshaft rotation to the camshaft pulleys and routing the belt past the tensioner. Belt tracking and valve timing accuracy depend on the condition of the pulley teeth and flange, so the pulley is inspected and renewed where necessary as part of a timing belt replacement.
