Valve Stem Seal for the cylinder head of the 2.0L four-cylinder L-Series diesel engine.

The seal fits over the valve stem at the top of the valve guide, beneath the valve spring, and meters the oil allowed to pass down the guide. A hardened or split seal lets oil be drawn past the guide into the port and combustion chamber, showing as oil consumption and blue exhaust smoke.
