Crankcase Breather Hose for the 2.5L KV6 petrol engine, part of the crankcase ventilation system.

It carries blow-by gases from the cylinder head cover back into the induction system so they are drawn into the engine and burned rather than vented. This hose is the automatic transmission variant, where the routing around the engine bay differs from the manual application.

The moulded rubber perishes and splits with age and heat; a leaking breather hose admits unmetered air and causes an unstable idle.
