Exhaust Manifold Stud - threaded stud that secures the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head.

It screws into the port face of the cylinder head and carries the manifold flange, which is clamped down over the manifold gasket by its nut. Fitted to the 2.2L DOHC EFI TC (DW12) diesel engine. Heat cycling and corrosion commonly damage the threads, so studs are typically renewed whenever the manifold is removed.
