Fuel Injector Sealing Washer - sealing washer fitted between the injector body and the injector bore in the cylinder head.

The washer seals combustion pressure at the base of the injector and sets the injector's seating height in the head. A failed washer allows combustion gases to escape past the injector, producing a ticking or blowing noise from the head and carbon deposits around the injector. It is a single-use item and should be renewed whenever an injector is removed.
