Frequently asked questions

What does the rear suspension crosslink do?
The rear suspension crosslink is a lateral locating link in the multi-link rear suspension. It connects the rear subframe to the wheel knuckle, controlling lateral wheel position and holding rear wheel alignment under load on the Freelander 2 and Range Rover Evoque L538.
How many rear crosslinks are needed for a full repair?
Two are fitted per vehicle, one on each side. If you're replacing worn links it's common to do both sides together so rear alignment stays even, though each crosslink is sold individually.
What are the signs a rear suspension crosslink needs replacing?
Worn crosslink bushes typically cause knocking from the rear over bumps, uneven rear tyre wear, and rear alignment that won't hold. On the Freelander 2 and Evoque L538 the link sets lateral wheel position, so play here shows up as vague rear-end handling.
How do I confirm this crosslink fits my vehicle?
This crosslink fits the Freelander 2 (2006-2014) and Range Rover Evoque L538 (2012-2018). On the Evoque it covers Halewood, Changsu and Itatiaia builds. Match part number LR002576 and check your VIN against the build plant if ordering for an Evoque.
