Sealing Ring - Input Shaft is an O-ring seal fitted to the input shaft of the M66 six-speed manual transmission.

It seals the joint where the input shaft passes into the gearbox housing, retaining transmission oil and keeping contaminants out of the shaft and bearing area. Renewed whenever the input shaft or its housing is disturbed.

What is the input shaft sealing ring for?
The input shaft sealing ring is an O-ring gasket that seals around the input shaft of the M66 6-speed manual gearbox on the Discovery Sport, Freelander 2 and Range Rover Evoque L538. It stops gearbox oil escaping where the input shaft meets the clutch housing.
Can the input shaft O-ring be reused?
Replace the input shaft O-ring whenever the M66 gearbox input shaft or clutch is disturbed. These seals compress in service and typically won't seal again once removed, so a new ring is standard during any clutch or gearbox job on the Discovery Sport, Freelander 2 or Evoque L538.
Which gearbox does this sealing ring fit?
This sealing ring fits the M66 6-speed manual gearbox used in the Discovery Sport (2015 on), Freelander 2 (2006-2014) and Evoque L538, on 2.2L diesel and 2.0L AJ200 diesel applications. It won't fit the automatic AWF21 transmission.
