EGR Vacuum Control Valve for the exhaust gas recirculation system on 2.2L diesel engines.

The valve sits in the vacuum circuit between the vacuum pump and the EGR valve actuator. Switched by the engine control module, it meters the vacuum signal that opens and closes the EGR valve so the correct volume of exhaust gas is returned to the inlet tract across the engine's operating range.

A leaking or electrically failed control valve leaves the EGR valve stuck open or permanently closed, and normally presents as an EGR flow or position fault.
