VVT Solenoid is the exhaust-camshaft variable valve timing control solenoid for the 2.0L 16V turbocharged petrol engine.

Acting on signals from the engine control module, it regulates oil flow to the exhaust camshaft phaser, advancing or retarding exhaust valve timing to suit engine speed and load. This is the exhaust-side valve; the intake camshaft uses a separate solenoid.
