High Pressure Fuel Pump Tappet drives the engine-mounted high-pressure fuel pump from the camshaft.

The tappet acts as the cam follower, riding on a dedicated camshaft lobe and converting its rotation into the reciprocating motion that operates the high-pressure pump plunger to generate rail pressure for direct injection. For the 2.0L Si4 turbocharged petrol engine.
