Why is this the right-hand unit?
This is the right-hand fuel module on the Freelander 2 2.2 TD4 tank. The tank uses side-specific modules, so the left-hand side is a different part. Confirm you need the RH unit before ordering, and check whether your fault is the pump or the level sender.
What are the signs this fuel pump and sender needs replacing?
Common signs are the engine cutting out or starving for fuel, or an inaccurate fuel gauge if the sender fails. On the Freelander 2 2.2 TD4 a failing in-tank pump can cause hard starting. The pump and sender are replaced together as one module here.
