Brake Pad Set - Rear - friction pads for the rear disc brake assembly, supplied as an axle set.
The pads are clamped against the rear brake disc by the caliper pistons to generate braking torque at the rear axle. They are a wear item and are renewed as a complete axle set so that friction material thickness and bedding-in remain even from side to side.
When renewing the pads, inspect the brake discs for scoring, thickness and run-out, and check that the caliper slide pins and piston seals still move freely.
