Crankshaft Main Bearing Set - set of main bearing shells for the crankshaft of the 204PT 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine.

The main bearings carry the crankshaft in the cylinder block, providing the hydrodynamic oil film between the crankshaft journals and the bores formed by the block and the main bearing caps. They are a fitted-clearance component: shell thickness must be matched to the actual journal diameter so that running clearance falls within specification.

Size: 0.25 mm undersize - for a crankshaft whose main journals have been reground 0.25 mm below nominal diameter. Measure the journals before ordering; standard-size shells will not give the correct clearance on a reground crankshaft.
