Radiator Assembly - the main coolant radiator in the engine cooling system, for the 1.8 K16 16-valve petrol engine.
Coolant leaving the thermostat housing passes through the radiator core, where airflow from the cooling fan carries the heat away before the coolant returns to the water pump. The assembly comprises the core, the top and bottom tanks and the hose and mounting points for this installation.
K-series petrol engines are unforgiving of overheating, so a radiator that is internally silted or has corroded or blocked fins is replaced as an assembly rather than repaired. Renew the hoses, clips and coolant at the same time and refill following the correct bleed procedure.
