Front Brake Disc Splash Shield, Right-Hand from the front brake disc and caliper assembly. The shield mounts behind the disc on the front hub carrier and screens the inboard face of the disc from road spray, grit and debris thrown up by the wheel.

Shielding the inboard friction face keeps water and abrasive material off the disc, reducing pad and disc wear and limiting corrosion build-up around the disc hat and hub mounting face.

A distorted or heavily corroded shield will foul the disc and produce a rotating scraping noise that is easily mistaken for worn pads. This is a handed component: the left-hand side equivalent is SEC100351.
