Rear Lamp Seal - left-hand foam gasket sealing the rear lamp assembly against the body panel.

It sits between the lamp housing flange and the body aperture and compresses on assembly, keeping water and road spray out of the lamp interior and away from the harness connector behind it.

A perished or permanently compressed seal allows moisture into the lamp body, causing condensation behind the lens, corroded bulb holder contacts and eventual earth faults. Fit a new seal whenever the lamp unit is removed.
