Fuel filter for the diesel fuel supply system, mounted in the tank-side filter and pipe assembly alongside the feed and return lines.

The element removes particulate contamination from the fuel before it reaches the high pressure pump and injectors, protecting the close-tolerance components of the common rail system. Filter condition has a direct effect on delivery pressure: a restricted element typically presents as power loss, rough running under load, or a rail pressure fault code.

This is a scheduled service replacement item. Prime and bleed the fuel system after fitting and check the pipe unions and seals for leaks before returning the vehicle to use.
